Elin Jones: The next item is a statement by the Minister for Social Justice, which is an update on Ukraine. The Minister to make the statement—Jane Hutt.
Elin Jones: Finally, Delyth Jewell.
Elin Jones: Sorry. It's handy that you're going on, because I was losing myself in laughter there at the idea of you in the squirrel webinar yesterday. [Laughter.]
Elin Jones: Thank you, First Minister.
Elin Jones: The next item is the business statement and announcement, and I call on the Trefnydd to make that statement—Lesley Griffiths.
Elin Jones: I can't hear the First Minister. I can't hear the First Minister, so if people can be silent to listen to the remaining few sentences of the First Minister's response.
Elin Jones: And finally, question 8, Rhianon Passmore.
Elin Jones: Leader of Plaid Cymru, Adam Price.
Elin Jones: Questions now from the party leaders. Leader of the Conservatives, Andrew R.T. Davies.
Elin Jones: Good afternoon and welcome to this Plenary meeting. The first item on our agenda this afternoon is questions to the First Minister, and the first question is from Jane Dodds.
Elin Jones: Today's short debate is to be presented by Janet Finch-Saunders.
Elin Jones: If I can ask Members to leave the Chamber quietly, especially those of you who are currently surrounding Janet Finch-Saunders. Any Members wishing to leave the Chamber, do so quietly and quickly, and then Janet Finch-Saunders can start and introduce her debate.
Elin Jones: That concludes voting for today. But, our work continues as we move to the short debate.
Elin Jones: The proposal is to agree the motion. Does any Member object? [Objection.] There is objection. We will, therefore, defer voting until voting time.
Elin Jones: Unless three Members wish for the bell to be rung we will move immediately to voting time.
Elin Jones: So, we have a single vote this afternoon, on the debate that's just been held, on item 7, which is the Plaid Cymru debate on management of NHS pressures. I therefore call for a vote on the motion, tabled in the name of Siân Gwenllian. Open the vote. Close the vote. In favour 27, no abstentions, 28 against. Therefore, the motion is not agreed.
Elin Jones: Rhun ap Iorwerth now to reply to the debate.
Elin Jones: The Minister for Health and Social Services now to contribute to the debate, Eluned Morgan.
Elin Jones: The 90-second statements are next. The only statement today is from Sioned Williams.
Elin Jones: Thank you to the Deputy Minister. Unusually, I've allowed a point of order on a piece of committee business for this session. I've heard all the perspectives of the Members involved, and, as Members know, we're in a new way of working: this is uncharted territory to a certain extent.
