Police officers in south Wales dealt with nearly 39,000 mental health issues during 2016. Cabinet Secretary, do you agree with me that people facing mental health issues should be cared for by specialist mental health services, rather than the criminal justice system? Can you outline the actions you are taking to reduce the number of mental health incidents being dealt with by police officers?
