(Translated) Will the First Minister explain why the Welsh Government needed to renegotiate its arrangements with Pinewood Studios?

Photo of Mark Drakeford Mark Drakeford Labour

Following a change in ownership, Pinewood made a commercial decision to withdraw from fund-management services. The fund was a key part of the collaboration agreement and therefore required the agreement to be renegotiated. We are confident that the new agreement will serve to further develop the industry in Wales.

(Translated) Will the First Minister outline the statutory processes that must be followed when public service organisations are subject to Welsh Government oversight actions?

The Local Government (Wales) Measure 2009 sets out the improvement arrangements for principal councils, national park authorities and fire and rescue authorities. The intervention arrangements for the NHS are set out in the National Health Service (Wales) Act 2006 and in the escalation and intervention arrangements.

(Translated) Will the First Minister make a statement on the future of the Welsh Government building in Caernarfon?

Photo of Mark Drakeford Mark Drakeford Labour

(Translated)

This Government has already given a commitment to retain a key presence in Caernarfon, but not in the current property, which is unsuitable. We will be relocating our current office at North Penrallt in Caernarfon to new accommodation in the town at Victoria Dock.

(Translated) Will the First Minister make a statement on how the Welsh Government is supporting local communities in Islwyn through capital investment projects?

Photo of Mark Drakeford Mark Drakeford Labour

Our budget proposals for 2018-19 set out how we are investing over £5 billion capital over the next three years in infrastructure projects across the whole of Wales, including local communities in Islwyn.

(Translated) When was the last time that the target of 95 percent of patients waiting less than four hours before being seen in an accident and emergency unit in the Hywel Dda health board area was achieved?

Photo of Mark Drakeford Mark Drakeford Labour

The national target is for 95 per cent of patients attending Welsh emergency departments to be admitted, transferred or discharged within four hours of arrival. There is no national target for a patient’s first assessment.

(Translated) Will the First Minister make a statement on winter pressures in the Welsh NHS?

Photo of Mark Drakeford Mark Drakeford Labour

I would refer the Member to the Cabinet Secretary‘s written statement issued on winter pressures on 8 January. I would personally like to thank all of our NHS Wales staff for their commitment and dedication to patients despite increased pressures across the health and care system.

(Translated) What is the Welsh Government's strategy for tackling air pollution in Cardiff?

Photo of Mark Drakeford Mark Drakeford Labour

As part of our clean air plan for Wales, we will be consulting on a clean air zone framework, which will ensure the consistent and effective implementation of clean air zones by local authorities wherever they are needed. Officials are working closely with Cardiff council in developing the draft framework.
