It's not just in your area—I had constituents who thought they were actually having to pay that until such time that the council adopted the pavements, roads et cetera, because they were on a new estate, only to discover that they were going to have to pay it for the whole length of time they're there, and it will pass on to the people who purchase the property after them. I think that's outrageous. I can understand why they thought it—you're moving in, the roads aren't adopted, the lights aren't adopted, somebody's got to pay for looking after them. But to treat them that way I think is appalling.
