Our proposals for strengthening local government were set out by the Cabinet Secretary for Local Government and Public Services in an oral statement on 20 March and in the Green Paper we have published for consultation.

There are currently no plans to investigate car wash services in Wales. Welsh Government officials are liaising with the Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs to provide input into the Environmental Audit Committee inquiry.

We are committed to bringing homes back into use and provide ongoing support through the Houses into Homes and town-centre loan schemes. These initiatives, operated by local authorities and together amounting to over £50 million, provide home owners with the finance required to renovate properties for rent or sale.

The 'Prosperity for All' national strategy and economic action plan sets out the actions we are taking to support small and medium-sized enterprises in the Cynon valley and across Wales.
