Now, there is no part of that equation that sits easily with me, least of all the last part. The only thing that could have made this situation worse is a Conservative Party leadership contest that is increasingly becoming a hard Brexit measuring contest. Only the Tories could design a process of measuring their machoness by way of ruining other people's livelihoods. They want to turn their party into a Nigel Farage tribute act, but I have words too for those Conservatives who are horrified by this, and I know that that includes AMs sitting here today—not looking at you, Nick Ramsay.
