The Welsh Government’s budget in 2020-21 will be 2 per cent or £300 million lower in real terms than a decade earlier in 2010-11. Had the Welsh Government budget grown in line with the long-run trend in public expenditure, it would be £6 billion higher in 2020-21.

(Translated) What can the Welsh Government do to safeguard the supply of generic medicines for the Welsh NHS in light of recent UK Government trade talks?

Responsibility for maintaining the continuity of medicine supply lies with the UK Government. We have worked with them and manufacturers to implement a multilayered approach to ensure continued supplies of medicines to the UK. We will continue to do all we can in the interests of patients in Wales.
