The recommendations of the recent review of the 2014 regulations are being used as a basis to consider future direction and future actions. Work has already started on a number of the recommendations and I will publish the Government's response to the full list of recommendations before autumn recess.

As the species champion for raptors in Wales I have agreed to fully fund the continuation of the RSPB hen harrier tagging work and also to partly fund the RSPB's new raptor officer. The officer will play a key role in ensuring hen harrier persecution is dealt with effectively in Wales.
