Cervical Screening Wales has implemented the recommendation of the UK National Screening Committee and extended the routine screening interval of people aged between 25 and 49 from three to five years if HPV is not found in their cervical screening test. The screening interval is now aligned with that for 50 to 64-year-olds in Wales.
