(Translated) Will the Counsel General provide an update on the progress of, and anticipated timescale for, the proposed Welsh Government needs analysis for apprenticeships in the legal sector in Wales?

We have completed our analysis on apprenticeships at level 3 and level 5. From September, employers have been able to enrol employees with training providers to qualify as a paralegal or advanced paralegal. We continue to work with stakeholders to critically assess the need for a solicitor apprenticeship.

The clear and compelling case for Senedd reform has been repeatedly made, including by the Special Purpose Committee on Senedd Reform. The scrutiny role of the Senedd is vital to a healthy democracy, and it is right that we should ensure that it is fully equipped to carry it out.

(Translated) How will the Counsel General engage with newly appointed UK Government counterparts to ensure the delivery of the Welsh Government's priorities within his portfolio?

I will look for a positive, constructive relationship with the new Government, founded on respect for the devolution settlement. I will ensure that our own priorities are clearly articulated and understood. In turn, the UK Government must demonstrate that it will enter into genuine dialogue on matters of shared interest.
