(Translated) What discussions has the Minister had with the Older People's Commissioner for Wales about increasing older people's awareness of their rights?

I met regularly with the Older People’s Commissioner to discuss a range of issues relating to older people’s rights. Recent discussions have focussed on Welsh Government's income maximisation and benefit take up campaigns and how to support more older people to find out if they are eligible for Pension Credit.

The Welsh Government has set up a working group to focus on Access to Services as part of the Disability Rights Taskforce. This working group is integral to driving forward access to all services in Wales, including those with sight and hearing loss.

In May 2022 we published the Learning Disability Strategic Action Plan supported by an additional £3million to deliver our plans to reduce inequality and improve the lives of people with learning disabilities. This also includes action to reduce health inequalities by promoting take up and quality of annual health checks.
