I acknowledge, of course, the important contribution made by campaigners such as Eileen and Trefor Beasley to the story of the language, and their stance has been very important in that history. I understand that there are calls, including today, to turn the property into a cultural centre of some sort. It's worth also considering other options and possibilities for the property to commemorate the contribution made by those two individuals. If there's interest in the local community in developing the property, then I would be eager for them to contact my officials to see what is possible. This scheme could fit into the 'Welsh Language Communities Housing Plan' too, so I'd encourage them to get in touch.
