As part of our recognition of the climate emergency facing our world, advice has been sought from the UK Committee on Climate Change about how meeting the goals in the Paris Agreement might affect our long-term legislative targets. That advice is due on Thursday.
Welsh rates of income tax were introduced successfully on 6 April following a carefully coordinated implementation programme led by HMRC and the Welsh Treasury. Revenue from local and national Welsh taxes will now collectively contribute around £5 billion to directly fund vital public services in Wales.
