Plans to address the backlog are being developed in the context of a continuing public health emergency. For as long as coronavirus remains in our community, the Welsh Government will support the NHS to deliver both COVID and non-COVID services safely based on clinical priority.

(Translated) What discussions has the First Minister had with the UK Government on preparing the Port of Holyhead for the end of the Brexit transition period?

We are committed to working with the UK Government to ensure our ports continue to function as smoothly as possible. The UK Government only engaged with Welsh Ministers in late August on the development of a permanent inland site to serve the port of Holyhead. This late engagement has made the delivery of the required border infrastructure extremely challenging.
