Earlier this year, we announced £25 million national recurrent funding for urgent and emergency care and the Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board will receive a share of this funding to improve outcomes. The health board will also benefit from up to £90 million over the next three years to drive forward the most critical aspects of service change.

Powys Teaching Health Board is responsible for providing services to its population and submits business cases for capital funding to Welsh Government. Currently, the health board is actively working on business cases for both the North Powys Wellbeing development, and refurbishment works at Llandrindod Wells hospital.

On 1 July, the Minister for Health and Social Services issued a written statement outlining the recovery of dentistry services. In north Wales, the dental academy being established in Bangor will provide an opportunity to significantly increase dental provision and access to NHS dental services.
