The Deputy Minister has said that lessons will be learned from this tragedy, but I'm not convinced that they will, or that the same thing is not going to happen in other local authorities in my region or across Wales. The only way we can truly learn from this tragedy and ensure nothing like it ever happens again is to hold a root-and-branch inquiry into social services. Only then can people in Bridgend and across this nation be confident that children's social care is fit for purpose. Thank you very much.
